Enugu Cabinet has long been dissolved-commissioner

Immediate past Enugu commissioner for Information Chief Ogbuagu Anikwe has confirmed the dissolution of the State Executive Council.
In a telephone chat with Everyday News Saturday morning Anikwe noted that the tenure of the past executive council terminated with the expiration of the governor’s first term.
He noted that the EXCO stood dissolved by time stressing that whether announced formally by the governor or not the entire EXCO stopped existing on heMay 29.
Permanent Secretaries who held meeting with governor Ugwuanyi Friday have long taken over the ministries as lobbying for appointment intensifies.
Governor Ugwuanyi at the meeting with Perm Secs announced the re appointment of Mr. Sylvester Onoyima as Special Adviser on Due Process.
A Government House press statement said the appointment part of efforts to ensure smooth running of government in the absence of an executive council.
The statement also said the appointment would ensure strict adherence to the administrative principles of transparency, accountability and prudence.
The governor broke the news when he met with the Permanent Secretaries of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), for briefing at the Government House, Enugu.
